Dr.R.Kavitha Professor & Head / Department of Science and Humanities R P Sarathy Institute of Technology

• Dr.R.Kavitha acquired a Ph.D. degree in “Some Plant Extracts as green corrosion inhibitors for mild steel corrosion in acid medium”, from Periyar University, Salem, in the year 2019, and an M. Phil., Degree in Chemistry from the same university in 2006. She completed her M.Sc. from Periyar University in 2000.
• She has qualified in State Eligibility Test in 2016 and she has guided more than 20 M.Phil students.
• She has 15 years of teaching experience and at present she is working as Professor& Head of S&H Department in R P Sarathy Institute of Technology, Salem.
• She has published papers in 8 International Journals & 1 National Journal.
• She has presented more than 20 papers in International conferences & 10 papers in National conferences.
• She has organized various technical symposia, workshops, FDPs and Conferences as a Convener and coordinator for the faculty members and students.
• She has guided 10 UG projects and 50 PG projects till now
• She has taken additional responsibility as a NSS co-ordinator
• She is a sought after mentor and student counselor who motivates and guides students.
• She was instrumental is acquiring Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology funded projects
• She has completed 2 UGC sponsored Short term Courses on Outcome Based Education and Learning Outcome Based Curriculum Framework.
• Her areas of interest include synthesis of novel green inhibitors, Corrosion and Corrosion Inhibition Applications, synthesis of Schiff bases, Organic synthesis and Eco-Friendly Analysis.
