  • Our Vice Chairman & Secretary, Thiru. G. Prabakaran, believes that Education is the best way to develop our nation. His rich experience in academics and business provides the executive support to college in the overall planning, organizing and executing of the various academic and administrative policies. He is a man of distinct vision and an inspiration to all of us. He has contributed a lot to the society in academics and other areas of social development.
  • He insists on quality education, oversees the implementation of best teaching and learning practices in the college.
  • His long association with our Founder has strenthened his belief that quality is the epitome of our institution. The special care and nurture given to each individual student enables their overall development as employable engineers with ethical mindset.
  • His aim is to motivate the students to contribute in nation building through entrepreneurship, higher education and disciplined way of life.
  • An alumnus of the prestigious Loyola College, Chennai, he took up his family business as his profession, but his interest was more towards service to society. Hence he became a member in various social organizations like JCI, Salem Club, Cosmopolitan Sports Club, Salem Literary Society, Yercaud Development Society, etc. He received International Award from JCI World President Kumar P. Gera for outstanding project in the year 1979. He was the State Vice President of Tamil Nadu State Jaycees in 1982.
  • Though he has a number of business commitments like S.P.G. Finance, Prabakar Finance and S.P.G. Buildings he is better known for his contribution to education in Vysya Group of Colleges, R P Sarathy Institute of Technology and Periyar University.
  • He was the Syndicate Member at Periyar University for three years from 2014-2016. He was instrumental in reviving the Distance Education Admissions during his tenure as convener of Distance Education. He also streamlined the administrative system to create better transparency and effectiveness.
  • He is the Vice Chairman of Vasavi Vidya Trust and VVT Group of Institutions which manages many educational institutions. He is also the Vice Chairman for Vysya Group of Colleges.
  • He has been a part of R P Sarathy Institute if Technology since it's inception and has created many unique innovative practices to enhance the teaching learning process.Innovations and reformation of curriculum has been his forte and he was instrumental in formulating the Student startups policy. He has made many developmental changes in the college administration, thereby improving the amenities in the college campus.
  • He has hosted a very popular TV show Kalvi Alosanai Neram on Polimer Channel to guide students on the various opportunities available in Higher Education. In the words of Vice Chairman, "A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work." He is the valued pillar of strength and knowledgeable advisor who strives to create positive changes in every student.
