The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2009. Being the evergreen and most sought after Department Mechanical Engineering still boasts to be the most Fundamental Core of Engineering. With the best of Laboratories containing real-time working engines and machinery, our students get the best exposure of the practices in the industry. Mechanical Engineering is a 4 year programme at R P Sarathy Institute of Technology. Students are given awareness to the industrial knowledge with a clear and basic understanding of the fundamentals.

Our Mechanical Laboratories and workshops boast with latest machinery and inventory. Real Time Industry projects are encouraged in these labs. With various collaborations with industries, our students are given the right industry exposure too.

The engineers of this field mainly find more number of employment opportunities in manufacturing sectors, servicing industries, designing fields such as railways, aviation and power plants. India is known for its Manufacturing Segment, with this demand Mechanical Engineers are the most sought after in the industry. The engineers find work in government and private departments and also in research oriented industries.
